eCommerce Website Redesign
Expanding the digital presence and customer base of an educational content provider through a holistic marketing strategy.
SeniorLivingU is an eCommerce business that provides educational and training materials for administrators and staff at senior living communities. When they first came to us, their eCommerce platform wasn’t fully responsive, didn’t provide reliable technical support, and wasn’t flexible to help grow their marketing presence and business model.
The Challenge
To solve SeniorLivingU’s eCommerce platform issues, we recommended a website redesign, along with an improved organic presence through SEO and content marketing. We also needed to work with the integration and registration process that occurred between their website and the learning management system.
Our Strategy
We moved SeniorLivingU to a WooCommerce platform, giving them the ability to manage their store, orders, inventory processes, and even utilize the website as a customer. This was important because around 90% of their online orders are entered by staff on behalf of the customer. We were also able to extend the functionality of their order management by allowing customers to purchase eLearning courses for colleagues as gifts.
In the fall of 2018, SeniorLivingU went through a branding update and enlisted us to study the user experience of their site. They wanted to use customer feedback to help improve the overall aesthetics and experience of the site. These improvements included building out more categorized product pages and adjusting product categories to help customers find what they’re looking for quickly and easily.
The Results
By moving SeniorLivingU to an easy-to-use content management system, they’ve been able to focus on simplifying processes, improving their business model, and providing the best products and user experience for their customers and affiliates.
SeniorLivingU’s new users have increased 41% year-over-year, and they have a 2% eCommerce conversion rate and a three minute average session duration. We’ve continued to partner with them on new marketing initiatives that will allow them to grow and develop their brand and customer base for years to come.
“We are in such a better state than two years ago and it is because of both our teams working together towards the same goal. Go team!”
